Bro Hof is practically built in the water and can offer both lake Mälaren, a stream, Brobäcken, and nine challenging ponds to deal with. All the edges of the hazards will be free of grass so there won’t be any doubt as to whether the ball landed in the water or not.
Apart from Lake Mälaren, Bro Hof has nine challenging ponds and the waters of Brobäcken...
Apart from Mälaren, nine large water hazards have been created, by excavating 600,000 m³ of ponds. To avoid them becoming overgrown and algae forming, there are 28 electrically powered oxygen pumps.
The edges of the ponds will be kept free of water plants in order to avoid time consuming searches. Many hazards have stone cladding to protect against erosion. No water is channelled straight out into Lake Mälaren, it always goes via a pond to be cleaned.
The course of Brobäcken has been rerouted so that it is wider, deeper and more meandering – and it is part of the game at several holes.
