Bro Hof Slott GC, The Stadium Course is #1 – once again...

For the third time in two years Bro Hof Slott GC, The Stadium Course has been awarded “Best Swedish Golf Course”. This time it is the readers of the magazine Svensk Golf who have decided. In a poll on the magazine’s website last December Bro Hof got 35 percent of the votes, while the runner up got 13 percent.

- We are happy and proud, says owner Björn Örås. This is yet another proof that we manage to achieve the high class we aimed for when we started. 

The Stadium Course at Bro Hof Slott GC was created by Robert Trent Jones JR and Bruce Charlton, and from the very beginning the aims were high. It opened as recent as 2007 and this is the third time it’s officially recognized as number 1. For two years in a row, 2007 and 2008, the Golf Digest Magazine has appointed the Stadium Course the best golf course in Sweden. Golf officials, the regular players and the pros praise the course for its beauty, layout, length and condition.

- We have earned this number 1 position, and we are now looking forward to the next ranking chart over the best courses in Europe, says Björn Örås.

In 2009 the second course, The Castle Course, will open. In June it is time for the first tee shot on the first nine holes, the back nine opens in July or August.

Last summer Bro Hof Slott GC signed a long term contract with Scandinavian Masters (SAS Masters) to host Scandinavia’s biggest competition for eight years, 2010-2017. And, if everything goes according to plans, Ryder Cup will be played at Bro Hof Slott in 2018.

- This is not just a fantastic golf course, it’s a golf arena – The Swedish Golf Arena, says the confident owner Björn Örås.
